Unless you can wake up early on the weekend, going to chaaye khana for breakfast is pretty futile unless you like waiting in line for thirty minutes. Upon fb food group recommendations decided to go to a few new places.
First me and my friend decided to try the little eatery but they had a sign saying closed and a guy in front said they were closed. Afterwards we drove down the street to the petrol pump which hosts a small cafe inside called "toast'd". There was only one sad worker inside who didn't want to serve us and had zero interest and said he was out of maple syrup. Figuring if a breakfast place didn't have maple syrup then what other corners are they cutting.
We finally decided to try "the kitchen" in E-7. At first it seemed very expensive. 850 rupees for an English breakfast. But this included a drink option so I decided to go for it. It came with choice of fried or scrambled eggs a sausage two cooked tomatoes hash browns toast and baked beans which are always served cold
for some reason etc. the portions were extremely generous. Initially I was served my coffee in a regular clear glass. I told the server how am I going to drink coffee and hold a cup like this without burning my hand. He said "this is the trend these days". I said is burning my hand the new trend? Lol. A clear glass serving a warm drink should at least have some sort of handle. He then changed the coffee glass for a mug. You don't mess with what works !
The the ambiance was quite nice. A sign in the front spelled dessert wrong otherwise all was good. Price is on the high end for breakfast but quality and portions were ample. The Americano coffee was perfect. Thumbs up
